How to Install Spectrum TV App on Firestick
These days, TV isn’t limited to the television connected to your cable service at home. You can take your entertainment with you and stream it anywhere thanks to a number of apps. Of course, we have all used Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video at some point in our lives. But now, internet and cable service providers are coming out with their own apps to keep subscribers watching. The Spectrum TV app is one such app.
What is the Spectrum TV App?
The Spectrum TV app allows you to take your entertainment with you on-the-go. It allows you access to live TV, TV shows, and movies on a smart device. If you are subscribed to Spectrum TV bundles, all you have to do is download the app on your smartphone or tablet. Use your Spectrum account credentials to sign in and you’re good to go.
Installing The Spectrum TV App on Firestick
The app works with a wide variety of devices, including iOS, Android, Samsung Smart TV, and more. However, installing the app on Firestick can be tricky if you don’t know how to. On Firestick, the app allows you to filter your live content by title, network, or category. You can set up a personalized guide with all your favorite channels as well.
The problem is that the Spectrum TV App is not available on the Amazon app store in all locations. So you may have to install it from a third party site if it is not available in your store. Here’s how you can install the app on your Firestick:

Let’s take a look at these in more detail below.
Amazon does not allow the Firestick to download third-party applications on the default settings. That means you need to enable the Apps from Other Sources option before you can install the Spectrum TV App on your FIrestick. Here’s how you can do that.
- Go to the Settings on your Firestick
- Select the My Fire TV option
- Go to Developer Options
- Click on Apps From Unknown Sources to enable it
- Click the “Turn On” button on the warning popup
That’s it. You can now download third-party apps on your Firestick, including the Spectrum TV app.
Method 1 – Via ES File Explorer
You will need the ES File Explorer app to be able to download the Spectrum TV app. Here’s how you can do it. First, open ES File Explorer in your Firestick. Click on the Downloader button when the app opens and then select +New. Add the URL for the Spectrum TV APK and click Download to start downloading it. Once ES File Explorer finishes downloading the app, click on Open File. You need to click on the install button, which will navigate you to the file installer screen on your Firestick. Click install one more time to begin installing the app. Once the app finishes the installation, open the app by clicking on the Open button at the bottom of the screen. Voila! You’re good to start streaming by logging into your app using the credentials on your Charter Spectrum packages.
Method 2 – Via Downloader App
If the ES File Explorer method didn’t work for you, try this instead. You will need the Downloader App. Open it and enter the URL for the APK. Clicking on Go will start the download process. Once the download completes, the app will automatically move to the Firestick installation screen. Next, click on Install to begin installing the app. Click on Open to start using your Spectrum TV app. The Downloader App installation is much easier than the ES File Explorer. However, the Downloader App is not available in all geo-locations, so you may not have a choice.
Spectrum offers support for its TV app on a large range of devices. It works on Roku, Windows, Android, Xbox One, and iOS. It also has support for Amazon Firestick, but the app is not officially available on the app store in all locations. The methods we discussed above should help in case the app is not available on the Amazon App Store in your location.
