With the home phone, you can discover Spectrum voicemail and its many functions. However, before you can use it, you need to set it up. Here’s how you can do this.  

Spectrum Voicemail Setup

Once you have access to the company’s home phone services; you can set up Spectrum voicemail. In order to do this, first dial *98 on your phone. Now, you’ll receive a list of instructions that you will need to follow to effectively set up your voicemail. You will also need a 4-digit number as the passcode for your voicemail. However, the service has stringent rules about password characters. Thus, you will not be allowed to use repetitive digits. Now, you’ll have the chance to record and customize your greeting. You can also personalize your mailbox settings.  

Change Your Voicemail PIN 

For any device or account, it’s important for you to keep changing your security passwords and PINs frequently. This reduces the chances of malware attacks and viruses. Moreover, it’s also harder for external forces to access your personal information with secure passcodes. In order to change your PIN, you need to first log into your account. Here you’ll see a phone icon. When you press it, you’ll be navigated to the Voice Online Manager.  

Now, go to the Voicemail Settings from the Menu. Once you’re here, you’ll be able to access the Voicemail PIN. You can now easily enter in your new password. This will typically be a 4-digit PIN. Once you’ve finalized your password, click done. This process will enhance your phone’s overall security. Learn How to Record a Voicemail Greeting 

This is one of the most important aspects of setting up your phone voicemail. It’s also the most interesting part. You can customize your voicemail greeting to whatever you like. You can make it humorous, engaging, or even cryptic. In any case, it’s advisable that you record your own greeting. If you don’t, callers will hear the default greeting. In order to record your voicemail greeting, sign in to your account using your email ID and password. You’ll see a phone icon that will allow you access to the Voice Online Manager. Now, simply select Voicemail Greetings from Settings and choose the greeting type. You can now record whatever message you want to. Once it’s finalized, save it.  

Listen to Your Voicemail Messages 

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s not always easy to stay updated with calls, messages, and voice notes. In this context, recorded voicemail messages ensure that you never miss any message. This is because you can play any message that you may have missed in the first place. In order to access this option, you need to dial *98 on your phone. However, it’s important to add in your PIN. If you don’t, you may not be allowed access. Several people also prefer listening to their voicemail messages online for greater convenience. In order to do this, you need to first sign in to your account and choose the Voicemails tab from the Voice Online Manager in Settings. Now, you have access to all voicemails. Simply choose the one you want and play it.

How to Delete Voicemail Messages?

With Spectrum, customers can enjoy a variety of services like Spectrum TV Select, high-speed internet, and cable. As with these services, the company’s home phone also comes with a wide range of features. It also allows you to delete your voicemail messages.  This feature is especially important In cases where voicemail messages are either inappropriate or unimportant. Thus, you can free up space by deleting such messages. In order to do this, simply dial number 3 from your phone after you’ve listened to a specific voicemail message. When you do, this message will be deleted. With this method, you can simply erase any message you want to.
